Guidelines for legally purchasing and ownership of suppressors:

You must be a United States citizen

You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a silencer from a dealer

You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase a silencer from an individual on a Form 4 to Form 4 transfer following your state laws

You cannot be a felon

Step-By-Step Form 4 non digital application:

1. Locate a Class III FFL dealer in your state. If you cannot locate a dealer Falling Skies Corp will be able to assist you in locating a dealer.

2. Once you have purchased the item from your dealer you will be given an ATF Form 4 ( 5320.4 ) Application for Tax Paid Transfer and Registration of Firearm.

The following sections will be pre- filled out by your dealer it is your responsibility to check these sections and make a duplicate copy of the Form4:

A. Serial Number

B. Dealer's name and address

C. Model

D. Overall length

E. Caliber

F. Signature of dealer

Remember to make a duplicate copy of the Form4

3. You need to fill out the required information on the front of the Form4:

A. Your name and address

B. Answer the question on the back of the Form4 by stating the reason for purchasing the Class III item

C. Sign and date the back

4. You will need 2 recent colored passport sized photos of yourself glue the photo on the back of each Form4.

5. You will need to be fingerprinted and remember to get 2 copies of the FBI fingerprint cards ( FBI Form FD-258 ). You will be sending both of the copies in with the duplicate Form4.

6. Fill out the ATF Form 5330.20 ( Certification of Compliance) - you do not need 2 copies of this form only one.

7. Prepare to mail the following to the ATF - Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives

A. 2 copies of completed Form4

B. 2 copies of the FBI fingerprint cards

C. 1 copy of the Certification of Compliance form

D. $ 200.00 ( one-time fee ) Check* or Money Order made out to:

Payable to Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives

** A check is advisable so you have confirmation of when the information arrived and when the ATF cashed your check

E. Mail to the address listed on the Form4

8. Once approved the ATF will place a stamp on one of the two copies you sent to them and return both copies to the FFL dealer where you purchased the item from. Once received by the dealer you will be notified the paperwork has been received. You can then go and pick up your firearm.

Step-By-Step Form4 application for a corporation or trust:

You will need a copy of your Article of Incorporation or trust paperwork before you proceed with with Form4 Corporation or Trust

1. Locate a Class III FFL dealer in your state. If you cannot locate a dealer Falling Skies Corp will be able to assist you in locating a dealer.

2. Once you have purchased the item from your dealer you will be given an ATF Form 4 ( 5320.4 ) Application for Tax Paid Transfer and Registration of Firearm.

The following sections will be pre- filled out by your dealer it is your responsibility to check these sections and make a duplicate copy of the Form4:

A. Serial Number

B. Dealer's name and address

C. Model

D. Overall length

E. Caliber

F. Signature of dealer

Remember to make a duplicate copy of the Form4

3. You need to fill out the required information on the front of the Form4:

A. Name of your corporation or trust ( not your name ) and address

B. Answer the question on the back of the Form4 by stating the reason for purchasing the Class III item

C. Print the name of your corporation or trust ( not your name ) in section 15

C. Sign and date the back

4. Mail the following to the ATF Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives:

A. $ 200.00 ( one-time fee ) Check* or Money Order made out to:

Payable to Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives

** A check is advisable so you have confirmation of when the information arrived and when the ATF cashed your check

B. Also include your Articles of Incorporation or trust paperwork

5. Mail to the address listed on the Form4

6. Once approved the ATF will place a stamp on one of the two copies you sent to them and return both copies to the FFL dealer where you purchased the item from. Once received by the dealer you will be notified the paperwork has been received. You can then go and pick up your firearm.

It is your responsibility to acquire all legal information regarding ownership of a Class III / NFA item in your state by consulting with your FFL Dealer.
